Why this site exists
Search "SSO pricing" or "SSO tax" and the only neutral resource is sso.tax — a community-maintained GitHub repo that's done invaluable work but is, by the maintainers' own admission, patchily-sourced and frequently stale. Every other page-one result is a vendor blog with a CTA selling the alternative.
ssopricing.com is the dated, sourced, quarterly-verified reference the procurement decision deserves. Every row links to the vendor's live pricing page. Every category median is computed from the data, not asserted from priors. The calculator gives you a shareable URL you can hand to finance without registration, signup, or "talk to sales".
What we do
- Track per-seat SSO premium across 38 vendors with public pricing pages, plus quote-only vendors flagged separately.
- Cover 10 SaaS categories with a median tax % per category.
- Map the IdP-side cost — Okta, Microsoft Entra, JumpCloud, Auth0, OneLogin, Ping, Duo, Authentik — so you see the full identity bill, not just half.
- Re-verify every row at least quarterly, with the verified-on date visible on every cell.
- Provide a calculator that takes your vendor mix and seat counts and outputs the annual premium, URL-shareable.
What we don't do
- We do not sell access management, SSO infrastructure, or IdP services.
- We earn no affiliate commission on any vendor or IdP listed.
- We do not accept sponsored placements that influence pricing claims or methodology.
- We do not editorialise vendors as "shameful" or "predatory". The data is factual; the framing is neutral.
- We do not give procurement, legal, or security advice. Start here, then get written quotes.
